Firemen were able to save the furnishings of the David Snook family from a fire that caused extensive damage to their Lewistown home Thursday afternoon. The fire, according to firemen on the scene, began in the basement, and spread rapidly to the top floor of the structure as firemen from Lewistown, Thurmont and the Citizens of Frederick responded.
