Friday January 23, 1925 Sledders, coasting in front of the home of Alphus H. Fogle, 200 East Seventh street, prevented what might have been a serious fire in the house about 8:15 o’clock Thursday night, when they extinguished a fire in an upstairs bedroom following an explosion of a coal oil stove. The several youngsters ran into the house and threw the stove from the upstairs window. The Junior chemical wagon was sent to the scene but the amateur firemen had completed the work of extinguishing the blaze when it arrived. |
